Perpignan: here are the uniforms that Alembert school students will wear after the Easter holidays

This April 22, 2024, at the end of the spring holidays, as part of an experiment, the students of a public school group in Perpignan will wear uniforms. Which Alembert school logo will be displayed? On what kind of clothes? And when will said clothes get the respective main children?

A new look for the next school year. From Monday, April 22, the date when students return to school after two weeks of spring holidays in Pyrénées-Orientales (school zone C), 652 children of the school group Alembert, in the district of Saint-Assiscle in Perpignan, will put on the uniform. Note, this innovation is the result of an experiment set up by the Government, for which a candidate city was chosen. It is valid until July, until the end of the school year. “We will see how the students will adopt these clothes”, said the city services while waiting for the start of this new practice, which has already been adopted in private educational institutions. Which insinuates that the outfit might be subject to change. But what will this clothing style be? And when will the clothes be available?

Distribution during the Easter holidays

In the kindergarten, 139 children will receive two chasubles each. In elementary school, 513 of them will each receive two T-shirts, two short-sleeved polo shirts and a tracksuit. Clothing that would be designed in consultation with educational teams and parents of students. The prototypes were sent a month ago and could be tried by the main children involved. An order for each student has been placed and will be distributed quickly. Precisely from Wednesday April 17 to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Alembert 1 building. Parents will be informed about this topic.

The clothes will have a dominant dark blue color. The coat of arms that has been retained is not without drawing a parallel with the coat of arms of the City with the Catalan flag and “reminder of the French Republic”, but without Saint-Jean-Baptiste “due to the question of secularism”, with the inscription of the group of schools below, and in the middle a ray of light “the symbol of the slogan of the City, Perpignan shines”. It will be placed on the heart.

Let us remind you that the cost was borne by the state and the community. It amounts to about 200 euros per student. Finally, the school of Hyacinthe Rigaud in Moulin-à-Vent, interested in the experiment in question from next September, is the subject of the upcoming market.
